(Indianapolis, January 14, 2021) – myLIBRO, a leading full-service library app that integrates with libraries’ ILS systems to enable seamless delivery and management of contactless and in-library services, is pleased to announce it has received a Platinum award in LibraryWorks’ seventh annual Modern Library Awards (MLAs.) The MLAs were created to recognize the top products and services in the library industry in a truly unbiased format. Products and services were submitted in the fall using a simple application, and then were posted on a private site with an enhanced description and attendant materials. These products were batched into small groups and sent to the LibraryWorks database of more than 80,000 librarians at public, K-12, academic, and special libraries. Only customers with experience with these products/services in their facilities were permitted to judge the products/services, resulting in a truly unbiased score.
Each judge scored the product on a numeric basis from 1-10 on a series of questions regarding functionality, value, customer service, etc.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by LibraryWorks for the impact myLIBRO has had on the library community,” said CEO and Co-founder, Ganesh Gandhieswaran. “Our mission is connect libraries to their patrons through voice-enabled technology and the myLIBRO team is so proud to partner with libraries around the country to serve and connect with their communities like never before.”
Features that enable management of contactless services including curbside service were released in early 2020 in response to new regulations impacted by COVID-19. The solution has been distributed in public and academic libraries around the country. Its preeminent features are:
- Facilitates and coordinates appointments for contactless pickup and digital services so staff can easily maintain curbside and call-in orders saving countless hours of repetitive work.
- Integrates with libraries’ ILS systems, enabling patrons to seamlessly access books, materials, and resources by searching author, title, subject or keywords from their mobile device – anytime, anywhere.
- Manages in-library services, such as computer lab reservations, passport photos, library ID renewals and orders, and notifies patrons of library announcements, hours, news, and events.
Jenny Newman, publisher and MLA program manager said, “It’s hardly a surprise that myLIBRO scored so well. They’ve been at the forefront of the industry since their company entered the market in 2019.”
